Senior Developer (Contract) · BRIX Enterprise Design System · 2020–Present
- BRIX launched in fall 2024. One component library for web and native.
- Led the React 18/19 migration for BRIX EDS and BRIX-Native.
- Built a Figma-to-page path over MCP. On the first pass, an agent built a page from BRIX components only.
- Built an AI-assisted ticket workflow on the team’s agile process.
- Cut the bundle size across three versions. Also built a Pattern Library, Storybook docs, and a rule-based layout CMS.
Senior Developer (Contract) · Trane Technologies · 2019–2020
- Worked on the internal dashboard that Trane engineers used to see data from commercial air-conditioning units.
- Moved older screens to the new UX from the in-house UX designers.
- Built with React, TypeScript, Node, and GraphQL.
- Shipped steady, incremental improvements on an Agile team.
Tech Lead · Amtrak Guest Rewards · ICF Olson (agency) · 2012–2018
- Led the front end of the responsive redesign of Amtrak Guest Rewards, the Amtrak loyalty site.
- Built a custom RESS system on ColdFusion: one responsive site, with device-specific parts from the server.
- After the relaunch, led the agency’s Guest Rewards team of about five through maintenance, new features, and UX design.
- Built a merge app in AngularJS that let members combine their amtrak.com and Guest Rewards accounts.
- Built the Amtrak holiday microsite, with the singing video and curated Instagram posts.
Senior UI Developer · Hilton Honors · ICF Olson (agency) · 2017–2018
- Built a custom Hilton interface inside Tally, the agency’s loyalty platform, to replace Hilton’s old vendor.
- Built the front end in Angular, on the Tally platform.
- Worked on a team of about 12 people.
- The platform went live for Hilton Honors in October 2018.
Lead Front-End Developer · Wyndham Rewards · ICF Olson (agency) · 2012–2013
- Led the front end of the Wyndham Rewards redesign, on a team of five to six. Built every HTML and JavaScript component and fit them into Wyndham’s Java CMS.
- Built mobile enrollment pages in Bootstrap 3 for a business-traveler email promotion, and sent mobile traffic to them.
- Used those pages to make the case for a fully responsive site.
- Built the Experience Wyndham Hotels microsite, where members find hotels to book with points.
Lead Front-End Developer · Sun Country uFly · ICF Olson (agency) · 2012–2013
- Led the front end of the uFly loyalty redesign from the start of the project, on a team of three.
- The redesign added point pooling, so members could combine their points.
- Moved uFly from legacy ColdFusion to the agency’s CFWheels platform, the same one behind Amtrak Guest Rewards.
- Converted the legacy code to HTML5, built every view for CFWheels, and gave uFly a responsive RESS design.
