My name is James Lindsay, I’m a graphic designer and web developer currently living in Minnesota. I bought my first domain in 1999, called AngryOpie.com. Over the years I’ve become less angry, so it recently it changed to just TheOpie.com.
So why Opie? I got the name nickname Opie in college, when some genius told me that I looked like “Opie Cunningham” at a party. Everyone thought it was hilarious, so like most good nicknames and despite my efforts to the contrary, it stuck.
This site, combined with my tumblelog, is my digital notebook/playground. It’s powered by Wordpress and uses a cool free theme from Smashing Magazine and yichi, which I modified slightly. I’ll be adding a portfolio section as soon as I decide what technology to use to pull it off. I’m available for freelance work, feel free to drop me a line.
